A sensor's output can be tested by using a multimeter to measure the output signals of both voltage and current-producing sensors. To measure current from a sensor, the leads of a multimeter are connected in series with the sensor output, as shown in figure 1.

A vital part of the test is to verify that the multimeter is capable of measure current, because during the tests we used 3 different. Two of them did not work until the third which was a new multimeter.Below the test is shown in a video.
